LIFE TEEN

What Is LifeTeen & What Does It Look Like?

6pm Mass on Sundays:
This is the most important part of LifeTeen...everything we do is centered on the Mass
as Catholics and so the same holds true in our youth group. The Eucharist is the "source and summit"
of our Christian lives. 6pm Mass on Sunday evenings is geared more towards the youth of
our parish. Even if you choose to attend another Mass...you are still welcome at LifeNights after the 6pm Mass.

What is a “LifeNight?”:
A “LifeNight” is the term we give to our catechetical sessions which take place most Sunday
evenings during the school year immediately following the 6pm Mass (7:30pm-9pm). Each
semester has a general topic of the faith that is discussed on these nights. If you miss
a night...you can still come the next week. The LifeNights build upon each other but you will not be left in the
dust if you miss a night. LifeNights typically start in the gym or the youth room depending on the
time of year. We offer a light snack most nights excluding the season of Lent when we fast as a youth group.
Our LifeNights are run by the youth minister and core team of adult volunteers who are all VIRTUS certified.

What is “Mission 4:20?”:
Mission 4:20 is based on the idea that we are called to be missionary
in our faith just as the disciples were in Acts 4:20 when overjoyed they said, “How can we not
speak of what we’ve seen and heard?”  These nights will include bible study, apologetics,
Catholic social justice projects, accountability groups and training in peer to peer ministry.

Life Teen for the 2012-2013 year has begun! You can pick up a Registration Form in the Youth Room or the Faith Formation Welcome Center, M-F 9am-3:30pm. PLEASE REGISTER ASAP.
