CONFIRMATION YEAR 1
WHAT IS CONFIRMATION
St. Anthony of Padua prepares high school teens over a two year period for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Candidates for Confirmation can begin preparation in their Freshman year of high school. Each Candidate will complete their first year of preparation by attending Life Nights, which is held on Sunday evenings or
they are enrolled in an accredited Catholic High School.
The second year of preparation is the year in which the Candidate will receive the Sacrament. Teens will be enrolled in Confirmation Nights which are held on Wednesday evenings. All Candidates enrolled in Confirmation Nights will also automatically be enrolled in Life Teen and are invited to attend Life Nights on Sunday evenings.
Family is registered as parishioners of St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
Teen is a freshman, sophomore, or junior in high school to enter Year One.
Baptized in the Catholic faith and has submitted a copy of their baptism and birth certificates. To submit forms, email copies to email@example.com.
If baptized in another faith, a copy of the Catholic Profession of Faith Certificate must be submitted. To submit forms, email copies to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Has received First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
Participates in the sacramental life of the Church by attending weekly Mass and exhibits an active faith life and understanding of the Church.
