St. John The Baptist Mass & Bonfire

Youth Ministry is sponsoring a St. John the Baptist Bonfire!
The entire parish is invited to join us on Thursday, June 25, at 7:30 PM in the piazza following the 6:45 PM Mass for an evening of prayer, fellowship, and tradition as we celebrate the Nativity of St. John the Baptist.
S’mores and drinks provided
Blessing of the fire by one of our clergy members
Open to all families
Take part in the beautiful tradition of lighting a bonfire on the Feast of St. John the Baptist. Celebrated just after the summer solstice—the longest day of the year—the feast reminds us of St. John’s humble words about Christ: “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30).
Families are also welcome to bring old blessed palms from Palm Sunday or broken sacramentals, such as rosaries, to be respectfully burned in the fire.
