"You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” - Acts 1:8

Confirmation is a year-long formation program that gives your child the very heart and soul of the Catholic faith to prepare him or her to worthily receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Spring of 2023. Mostly taught in classrooms, Confirmation is a vibrant part of our Life Teen ministry. Teens will be dual enrolled in Confirmation and Youth Group on Sundays! and we will do events and socials together throughout the year. This builds solid friendships that go beyond the reception of the sacrament.

One of the greatest blessings for the students is our annual Confirmation Retreat Weekend. This is a powerful weekend of Mass, Adoration, Confession, talks, small groups, games, and more! Every year teens come back from these retreat weekends joyful and transformed. Attendance is a requirement for Confirmation.

Confirmation classes will launch in the Fall and will follow the academic year. Classes are weekly- Wednesdays from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm- and your student is expected to attend regularly and do make-up work for any absences. Every classroom will have well-trained adult Catechists as well as Teen Assistants engaging in peer ministry.

All teens are expected to supplement their intellectual formation with Christian charity. We do this by encouraging Works of Mercy in our parish and in our communities. Teens will not just serve, but also reflect upon their service as it relates to the mission of Christ. They will submit their service project paperwork by March 2023.  Visit Works of Mercy for more information and online submission form.

The Sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated by Cardinal DiNardo (or a bishop). The date will be given to the parish by the Archdiocese in early Spring. We submit multiple dates to the Archdiocese for consideration. Thus, we cannot guarantee or publish a date right now, but know that the date assigned usually falls in April.
