WHAT HAPPENS AT ECHO?
ECHO is a dynamic and immersive Catholic retreat experience of St. John Paul II's landmark teaching called the Theology of the Body. Geared toward different audiences (young adults, teens, and married couples), ECHO is not just an intellectual exercise, but a journey into the heart where we discover the "distant echo" of God's plan for life and love from the very beginning. Focused on identity, prayer, vocation, relationships, and the Catholic Church's teachings on human sexuality, participants are invited into a new level of freedom to be the gift that God has called them to be.
At ECHO at Maryhill Renewal Center, young adults will come together for the weekend of July 19-25 to dive into St. John Paul II's Theology of the Body together, all the while growing in authentic community. On Monday, July 22, the community of young adults will welcome the teens to camp as we now offer a retreat for the teens June 22-25, giving away what we have received by serving in hospitality, prayer team, or as a mentor. It is a truly unique experience like no other, and we can't wait to share it with you!
WHAT DOES THE REGISTRATION PROCESS LOOK LIKE FOR ECHO?
If your teen is interested in attending ECHO this summer, you must first fill out the ECHO Registration form. When you fill out this form you will be prompted to pay a $150 deposit. Please note that we purchase the spots for this trip based off the number of teens that apply for it, so when you fill out this ECHO Registration form you are officially purchasing your teen's spot for this trip. For each trip, our Youth Ministry staff verifies that the teens attending are registered teens in our Youth Ministry programs and have displayed excellent behavior at our Youth Ministry events and retreats.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY TEEN IS ACCEPTED BUT THEN HAS TO DROP FROM THIS TRIP?
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer refunds on any payments made. Once you register and pay the deposit, you are responsible for the full payment amount. This is because we have to pay bus fees, conference fees, and hotel fees. We register with the conference exactly how many students we have register with us.
