WHEN IS HIDDEN LAKE?
June 3 - 8, 2024

We are attending Week 1 of Camp Hidden Lake! This year we are flying, so our trip will begin with our flights early on Monday, June 3rd. We will fly back Saturday evening, June 8th to The Woodlands.

WHAT IS HIDDEN LAKE ALL ABOUT?
Summer camp at Hidden Lake is an incredible opportunity to bring teens into an unforgettable experience of life. For over 15 years, Life Teen has provided experiences at summer camp where teens are able to be free and confident in themselves, develop new friendships with other teens from our parish, and encounter God working in their lives. Their week at Hidden Lake includes inspiring talks, powerful encounters with God through the Sacraments, and fantastic activities such as high ropes, white water rafting, and messy games! This can be the summer that your teen begins to experience a bigger and better life than they ever thought possible!
 

WHO COMES TO CAMP? 

Life Teen Hidden Lake camp is for 7th and 8th grade teens (age in 2024). There will be gender specific adult chaperones at a ratio of 1:8.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ADULT CHAPERONES?

All adult chaperones must be 21+ years old and be safe environment trained and background checked in our diocese. We ask our dedicated Core Members to join us on this trip to continue the mentoring that has been happening throughout the year. Our desire is that they fully participate and journey alongside campers all week long. The relationships built at camp will help teens feel supported in their faith journey going home.

WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENS AT CAMP?

The Life Teen Summer Camps staff plans, prepares, and facilitates the programming, liturgies and activities for each day. Each day you’ll experience daily Mass, opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and other powerful prayer experiences. Our evening sessions, led by a dynamic speaker, will break open scriptural topics to lead your teens into a more authentic encounter with Christ. All of this alongside their exciting ropes courses, an obstacle course, messy games, plenty of free time and much more. Each day campers will enjoy three delicious meals and a night-time snack with their parish.

WHAT IS THE COST OF COVECREST?

The Deposit - $150 (Camp Registration Deposit + Bus Reservation Cost)

The total cost of the trip will range between $1000-$1500 depending on financial support we have requested.

This includes, Camp Covecrest Fees, food, airfare, bus travel to and from the airport, white water rafting excursion during the week of Camp. 

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY TEEN IS ACCEPTED BUT THEN HAS TO DROP FROM THIS TRIP?
In order to drop your teen's spot and receive a full refund, not including your deposit ($150), you must contact Casey Barnes at cbarnes@ap.church before noon on February 1, 2024. After this date, you are held responsible for the full amount of this trip.

WHEN WILL WE FIND OUT IF OUR TEEN HAS BEEN ACCEPTED TO THIS TRIP?
Parents will be notified by email within a week after the applications close December 1st, 2023 regarding their teen's acceptance status for our Camp Hidden Lake trip. If your teen is not accepted, we will refund the deposit of $150.
